Spot Bitcoin ETFs See Surge in Inflows Following Price Drop Below $54,000
Spot Bitcoin ETFs in the United States experienced a surge in inflows following a recent dip in Bitcoin’s price. On July 6, Farside Investors reported that spot Bitcoin ETFs saw their largest net inflows in a month, with $143.1 million flowing in.
The Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund led the inflows with $117 million, while other ETFs like Bitwise Bitcoin ETF, ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF, and VanEck Bitcoin Trust also saw significant inflows. However, the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust experienced a net outflow of $28.6 million.
Despite market turbulence, institutional investors and large-scale buyers are taking advantage of the Bitcoin price dip to accumulate BTC at lower prices. Hunter Horsley, CEO of Bitwise Asset Management, highlighted the efficiency of his team in acquiring Bitcoin at a low cost and emphasized the strong outlook for Bitcoin.
Renowned Bitcoin critic Peter Schiff commented on the resilience of Bitcoin ETF investors, noting that they remain committed to holding their assets despite market fluctuations. Schiff predicted a potential significant sell-off in the future, which could lead to a capitulation among Bitcoin holders.
Overall, the recent surge in inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US indicates that investors see the current market conditions as a prime opportunity to buy Bitcoin at lower prices.
